Building the Nanofibre Mat: Electrospinning Explained

Think of a cotton candy machine — but powered by precision engineering.

A liquid solution, carefully blended with active ingredients like CBD isolate and select essential oils, is exposed to a controlled electrical field. This process draws the liquid into ultra-fine streams that stretch and dry mid-air, forming an airy web of microscopic fibres (about 100–500 nanometres wide).

These fibres settle into a thin, breathable mesh with an open, porous structure. The actives stay trapped inside these fibres, protected until skin contact (see Figure 1).

Dissolution Process: From Mat to Magic

1.     Hydration: Fibres absorb fluid, swell into gel.

2.     Breakdown: 3D matrix dissolves outward; actives diffuse steadily.

3.     Complete dissolution: Full melt—>95% released, no residue.
